‘Loving son, sociable and kind’  tribute to man, 24, killed in A10 crash

Brandon Fritz-Kessler, the 24-year-old man from Bassingbourn who died in a crash on the A10 near Royston, was described today by his family as a “loving son, sociable and kind”.

In a tribute, his family said: “Brandon was a loving son, sociable and kind, who was willing to lend a hand to anyone.”  

Police are still appealing for witnesses and information after the fatal collision on the A10 near Royston.

A grey BMW 330i M-Sport heading north was involved in a collision with a black BMW 3 Series coming the opposite way, between Royston and Melbourn, at about 10.30pm on Friday (4 August).

The driver of the BMW 3 Series, Brandon, of Old North Road, Bassingbourn, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the 330i was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, with serious injuries.

Sergeant Dan Newton said: “A young man has tragically lost his life in this collision and my thoughts are with his family and friends at this very difficult time.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have seen the collision, or either car prior to it, to get in touch.”
