The King had that ‘boys will be boys’ look about him as he attended church in Sandringham today amid the swirling controversary over Harry and Meghan.

It was the King’s first public appearance following the release by Netflix of the trailer ahead of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s see all, tell all, documentary.

Whatever his thoughts about Harry and Meghan, he has kept them very private.

Royal sources are said to have told the Daily Mail that King Charles and Queen Camilla are “not worried but wearied” by the antics of Harry and Meghan.

His Majesty has been at Sandringham for a few days and among private functions has been a tree planting ceremony.

Two days ago, Julie Spence, Lord Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire, released a photo via Twitter of the tree planting.

“The late Queen approved a suggestion from Her Lord Lieutenants to gift 70 trees to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee to form a new woodland pasture on the Sandringham Estate,” she tweeted.

“Four of us met His Majesty and commenced the planting – a special day.”

This week it has also been announced that Charles will be crowned with St Edward’s Crown during the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on May 6, 2023.

King Charles will be back at Sandringham for Christmas, his first time as monarch.

During her reign his mother, the late Queen, spent 32 Christmases at Sandringham.
